The multi-award-winning The Station House Hotel, owned and managed by the Slattery family for the last 40 years, has undergone a complete refurbishment over the last two years and has recently its beautiful Carriage Suite. The refurbishment has drawn inspiration from travels across the globe, as Irish country chic meets with eclectic influences from India, Istanbul, the Middle East, and beyond. The blend of local Irish-made furniture and hand-made accessories from international artisans, combined with original antiques from The Station House and its history as a busy railway junction, all combine to give the venue its unique feel and charm. Outside, the country house sits on 12 acres of manicured gardens and woodlands – the perfect backdrop for photographs. For outdoor ceremonies, The Turntablelocated in amongst the forest trees is a mystical setting for the most special of vows and these spaces which can accommodate from 80 to 190 guests.
The Carriage Suite Banqueting Room
Once the locomotive workshop, The Carriage Suite now stands as an opulent banqueting hall. On entering the banqueting hall, the garden theme is apparent with ceilings adorned with floral and foliage in amongst an array of chandeliers, whilst each of the windows are dressed with fresh eucalyptus bringing a beautiful aroma as you enter. Crisp white linen on the tables sets off the herringbone wood floor and the Louis XVI style chairs, designed and chosen for comfort as well as style. The Carriage Suite can also be set-up for beautiful indoor ceremonies against a cream linen back-drop and romantic candle lanterns framing the aisle.
